Sitka Restaurants

I have to tell you that I think Sitka has more restaurants per square mile than anyplace I've ever been. Below is a list of them, their location and if they have delivery. You can tell if I go there frequently by the info I have. Will try to get to the ones that are lacking info and report back. I've also shared my favorites on their menu of the ones I do frequent!   • Back Door: 104 Barracks Street, 747-8856. Haven't been here in a while, but understand it's a great place for coffee, croissants and such.
  • Bayview Restaurant: 407 Lincoln Street, 747-5440: The Bayview is best known for its hamburgers. It's popular with my grand kids because of its chicken tenders. They also make great clam chowder and sandwiches.
  • Captain's Galley at Sea Mart: 747-6201: Great pizza, chicken and sandwiches. Daily lunch specials.
  • Ken's Wok and Teriyaki: 210 Katlian Street, 747-5676, They deliver! Okay, I have to say that this is my most favorite oriental place to eat. My husband and I always order M1, Mongolian Beef.
  • Lane 7 Snack Bar: 236 Katlian Street, 747-6310, and they do deliver! Only the BEST hamburgers and milkshakes in town! My favorite is the "Our Burger". It's a large bun with several burgers, a slice of Canadian Bacon, several different cheeses, onions, mayonaise, lettuce and tomato, that all blend together to melt in your mouth! The perfect side is their curly fries!
  • Little Tokyo: 315 Lincoln Street, 747-5699, Haven't tried this, but I understand that if you like sushi, this is the place to go!
  • Ludvigs Bistro: 256 Katlian Street: Known as the "Greek Place," word is their food is great, but also on the spendy side.
  • McDonald's: 913 Halibut Point Road: The usual McDonald's menu with lots of friendly smiling faces! Where else in the world can you order a Big Mac, and sit and much on it while watching eagles dive for their dinner!
  • Nugget Restaurant: At the airport. 966-2480 Excellent food, but pretty spendy, even after the 10% discount for locals.
  • Pizza Express: 1321 Sawmill Shopping Center, 966-2428 They Deliver! This is our favorite family restaurant. They have seating upstairs for large groups, which we like and have pizza, as well as mexican. I almost always order the Taco Salad with Chicken.
  • Pizza Roma: 327 Seward St, 966-4600, Haven't ate here, yet, but it's know for Italian fare.
  • Sitka Salmon Bake: 720 Signaka Way, Outdoor dining at its best. Not only salmon baked on the grill, but also pork! Great! Check out their website for their menu! They also will provide a courtesy van.
  • Subway: 327 Seward: 747-7827, Great sandwiches!
  • Twin Dragon: 201 Katlian Street, 747-5711, They Deliver! Great oriental restaurant with wonderful harbor view!
  • :West Mark Shee Atika: 330 Seward Street, phone: 747-6241 for reservations. They also offer a complimentary shuttle. If you are wanting to take someone out for a nice, sit down dinner, this is the place. They are very well known for their steak and seafood, but I have to tell you, my favorites are their Clam Chowder Bowl and their sweet potato fries.
  • Van Winkle and Sons: 205 Harbor Drive, 747-7652, Great place to eat! Greek Cuisine.
